Dear friends,

We are happy to invite you to Ahmedabad for “Transplantation Update 2010”. We have been having your august presence at IKDRC-ITS, for the last 27 years in various mega academic events related mainly to nephrology, urology and renal transplantation. The series of “Transplantation Update” started in 2002 and with warm response and positive support from the students and teachers of the fraternity alike we are now encouraged to make it as our annual event.   

We are now ready to pass on the techniques of transplantation without immunosuppression from Ahmedabad to all other centers which are willing to take it for the benefit of suffering patients. Apart from Prof. Paul Terasaki, our research collaborator, other overseas dignitaries who will be joining us to impart their knowledge are Carl Groth, Ex-Chairman, Nobel Assembly, Sweden and Mark Hardy from Columbia University, USA. Prof. Hardy who is also the editor of “Transplantation” journal with special interest in Transplant tolerance induction, pancreatic islet transplantation to cure diabetes and hepatocyte transplantation for liver disease will be honored with Maharshi Sushruta Gnyaanpeeth Sanmaan of this year.

The topics that will be covered in this meeting are displayed herewith. They will be interesting and exciting for all of you. We look forward for your visit to the progressive mega city of Ahmedabad with strong frontiers in medicine, biotechnology and pharma industry in addition to being the hub of business administration.
